UKMFA, HART, and the Perseus Group have written to all medically qualified Peers and MPs to outline our concerns regarding the recent mandated fortification of flour with synthetic folic acid.
We laid out the flaws in the science and medical research that has been used to justify the mandate and highlighted the serious risk to public health that may result from this unethical mass medication of the public. We urged them to press for a Parliamentary debate on the issue.
